NHRC is an Independent and autonomous constitutional body in Nepal working for the protection and promotion of human rights in Nepal. The motto of NHRC is "Dignity, Equality and Justice for all." The primary responsibility of NHRC is to protect and promote the human rights of Nepalese people. In order to perform this responsibility, the commission can conduct investigations and inquiries on its own or upon a complaint field to it regarding the violation of human rights.
