The primary responsibility ofNHRC is to protect and promote the human rights ofNepalese people. In order to perform this responsibility,the commission can conduct investigations andinquirieson its own or upon a complaint field to it regarding theviolationof human rights.

Human Rights Alliance Nepal is a national level umbrellabody of over 1500 Nepali human rights org. The org. aimsto consolidate and co-ordinate the Nepali human rightsand social justice movement and is actively involvedin lobbying for the protection of it.
