## Weight of a body is less in the mines. Why?

The weight of a body is less in the mines because when we move deeper the earth gravity decreases but our mass is always constant.

State Newton's law of gravitation and prove that F = (G m_{1}m_{1}) / d^{2}

Newton's law of gravitation states that "Everybody in the universe attracts every other body with the force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers".

So, F ∝ m_{1}m_{2 } .......... relation 1

F ∝ 1/d^{2}_{ } .......... relation 2

From relation 1 and 2:

F ∝ ( m_{1}m_{2} )/d^{2}F = G . ( m_{1}m_{2} )/d^{2}

Where G is gravitational constant as a proportional constant.
