The male reproductive system is responsible for the production and delivery of sperm. It consists of several organs, including the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and penis.

1. Testes: The testes are two oval-shaped glands located in the scrotum (a sac-like structure outside the body). They are the primary male reproductive organs and produce sperm cells through a process called spermatogenesis. Testes also produce testosterone, the primary male sex hormone.

2. Epididymis: The epididymis is a coiled tube located on the backside of each testis. It serves as a storage and maturation site for sperm. Sperm produced in the testes enter the epididymis to mature and gain motility.

3. Vas Deferens: The vas deferens, also known as the ductus deferens, is a muscular tube that connects the epididymis to the urethra. It carries mature sperm from the epididymis to the ejaculatory duct.

4. Seminal Vesicles: The seminal vesicles are paired glands located behind the bladder. They produce a significant portion of the seminal fluid, which nourishes and provides energy to the sperm. The fluid contains fructose, proteins, and other substances.

5. Prostate Gland: The prostate gland is a walnut-sized gland situated just below the bladder, surrounding the urethra. It produces a milky, alkaline fluid that helps to neutralize the acidity of the female reproductive tract, enhancing sperm motility and survival.

6. Bulbourethral Glands: These small glands, also known as Cowper's glands, are located near the base of the penis. They secrete a clear, slippery fluid that lubricates the urethra and helps neutralize any residual acidity in the urethra caused by urine.

7. Penis: The penis is the external organ of the male reproductive system. It consists of three parts: the root, the shaft, and the glans. The urethra, a tube that carries both urine and semen, runs through the penis. During sexual arousal, the penis becomes erect, allowing for sexual intercourse and the delivery of semen into the female reproductive system.
