- Sukhani Massacre:
The Nepali Communist Party starteda revolt against the government from Jhapa. End ofbarbaricrule and freedom for poor was the main motto of the revolt.Some youths were arrested for the alleged murder of thenpanchayat member Dharma Pd. Upadhaya. The arrestedwere Ramnath Dahal, NarayanStha, Krishna Kuinkel, NetraPd. Ghimire and Biren Rajbansi, and they werebroughtto sukhani in Illam. They were shot to death on 21thFalgun 2029 BS and the event is remembered as SukhaniMassacre....

People were not satisfied with Panchayat system because:
-It was the cruel autocratic rule.
-People were deprivedfrom fundamental rights and freedom.
-Panchayat system was not devoted to nation development butto personal interests and benefits of the ruler.

On 9th Magh 2018 BS, when King Mahendra was on avisit to Janakpur, Durgananda Jha threw a bomb at thevehicle in which the king was travelling. DurganandaJha, Arbinda Kumar Thakur and Dalsingh Thapa werearrested. This incident is known as Janakpur Incident.

There was panchayat rule in Nepal from 2017 BS to 2036 BS.This rule was cruel to the general citizen of the nation.No fundamental rights and freedom had been given tothe people. So, all the citizen were in the opposition ofthis rule on 22nd chaitra,2035 BS. TU studentsorganized ahuge procession. People came out in the street revoltingagainst the government. Realizing the anarchy, in the state,King Birendra declared referendum in 2036 BS.

The election process throughwhich the citizen of acountryare allowed to cast their vote in the nationalissues other to support or to standor to stand against it.
In our country, it was held in 2063 BS to choose eithermultiparty democratic system orreformedpanchayat system.

If I were the member of political party, I would reacton the prohibitionof political parties imposed by kingMahendra by the following ways:
-I wouldaware people to protest against the king and hisundemocratic step.
-I would organizethe mass protest rally against thestep of the king.
-I would prepareposters, pamphletsto aware peopleabout their rights and duties.
-I would inspire people, so that they could create the strong protest without having a fear of beingjailed.
