Transpiration	Guttation
Water is lost in the form of water vapor.	Water is exuded in the form of liquid drops.
Occurs through the general surface of the leaves and young stem.	Occurs at the margin and the tips of the leaves.
Only pure water is given out.	Sugars, amino acids and salts are given out too.

What is diffusion? Explain the process involved.

Diffusionis the movement of molecules in fluid from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration.Heat conduction in fluids involves thermal energy transported, or diffused, from higher to lower temperature.

What is Osmosis?

Movement of water molecules from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration of molecules through semi-permeable membrane until equilibrium is attained is called osmosis.

Differentiate between spongy and palisade parenchyma.

Palisade Parenchyma	Spongy Parenchyma
Their cells are columnar with intercellular spaces.	Their cells are oval or round in shape with air cavities.
They're found below the upper epidermis.	They're found below the palisade Parenchyma.
They're dark green in colour.	They're light green in colour.
They contain a high number of chloroplasts.	They contain comparatively lower number of chloroplasts.
