"The oval portrait" itself is symbolism of the woman's beauty and painter's passion to paint the oval portrait. It says that there were rich decoration which were tattered and antique where walls were hung with tapestry and bedecked with manifold and multiform memorial trophies, together with modern paintings in frames of rich golden arabesque which can sumbolise that the place was too old, abandoned and left all alone from very long time. The candelabrum there suggests that the place must have been somekind of castel. The fact that portrait had only head and shoulders but still looked perfectly complete symbolizes that painter had great passion towards his work and his wife was rarest beauty. It even says that though woman loved her husband but considered his art her rival symbolizes that painter did not give time to her but only his art. "This is life indeed!" Symbolizes that painter painted as the women's living beauty was present in his art.
