Decentralization of power and authority is the main character of federal division. Therefore, a country with federal division will have balanced development. However, there are lot of things we have to think for federal division. The equal distribution of means and resources to all the province should be there for the sustainable development. The each province should have autonomous authority for the development of respective province. Hence, we should have long term vision for the provincial development of nation.

What do you mean by development region?

Development region is a designation for a territorial entity.

Nepal was declared as federalcountryon Jestha 15, 2065 BS.

- It is very expansivesystem of govt.
- It promotes regional inequalities.
-Disputes can be found for the divisionof means andresources.

If you were asked to federate our country into federal states, what bases would you take?

I would take the following bases:
-There has to be the equal distribution of means and resources.
-The cultures, social norms and values should bereflected in respective province.
-The personalfeelings and aspirations of local peopleshould be respected andaddressedasfar as possible.
-The territory of each province should contains allphysical regions.

Are you satisfied with the division of the country into seven provinces? Why?

Yes, we are satisfied with the division of ourcountryinto seven province because it has been divided on thebasis of geographical area, population, availabilityofmeans and resources,etc. The demands and aspirationsof the local people are also addressed.Each provinces isnot large and too small in size and shape. Though, there issome disputes occurredwhile naming each state, thedivision of state is appropriate and sustainable for theprogress of the nation with the development of each province.
