- Marsal Plan:
Most of the European countries were destroyed by 2nd world war and communism was spreading in Europe. Thus, US secretary of state, George Marshall prepared a plan to provide economic aid to the European countries. This is called Marshall plan. USA spent 13 billion dollars to rebuild European economy under this plan.

- Molotov plan (COMECON):
In the same way, Soviet Russia established Council for Mutual Economic Aid (COMECON) to provide aid to the countries of her influence. It was also called Molotov Plan as it was prepared by the foreign minister of Russia, Molotov.
