Describe the role of Nepal in World War II.

During second world war Judda Shumsher was the PM of Nepal. He sent 8,000 troops to India under the command of Bahadur Shumsher. During the war about 1 lakh of Nepalese youths were recruited by the British in India. About 250,000 Nepalese soldiers fought in this war on the behalf of British government. Among them. 7,544 were killed and 23,655 were wounded and maimed. The Nepalese soldiers fought bravely in the different countries. Some of them were even awarded with "Victoria cross". Hence, there is great role of Nepal in World War II.
