Political parties decided to launch the joint Mass Movement against Panchayat System because:
- Corruption, smuggling and other criminal activities were increasing due to monopoly of panchayat rule.
- Poverty, unemployment, exploitation and violation of human rights were increasing.
- People's voice were suppressed.
- The national resources were used for the personal interest of the panchayats.
- People were deprived from the fundamental rights and freedom.
