We have already discussed fundamental physical quantities and their units in earlier chapter of Measurement. In this chapter, we will discuss the names, symbols and units of all physical quantities suggested by the SI system of measurement.

Above are the seven fundamental physical quantities described in the SI system. They have their own identity. They are used extensively. All other derived physical quantities are related to these physical quantities.
