Hey, awesome! I’m so happy that you are ready for the flight preparation. There are a few things that you have to get done. Let’s talk about it.

You will receive an email from your admission officer mentioning the immunization details. You are required to have a certain vaccination before entering the USA. Depending upon the state you're going to, you will have a different list of required vaccines. So, talk to your admission officer and find out the required vaccines.

These were the required vaccines for me.

The best place to get vaccinated is at Sukraraj Hospital at Teku, Kathmandu. You have to go there and get an OPD ticket. It will cost 80 rupees. With the ticket, you will go to the doctor and they will prescribe you the required vaccines. Then you buy them from the Pharmacy which is around the gate of the hospital. After you purchase the vaccines, go to the Vaccine Section and get vaccinated. They will provide you with the vaccination card at the end.

If any of your vaccines has two doses, you will need a 28 days gap. Get your first dose on time, so that you can get the second dose before your flight. You can get vaccinated in the USA as well but it will be a lot more expensive.

You can also get vaccinated at other private hospitals and clinics. However, that can be a little expensive process. You decide what is best for you.
