Concentration of a solution
The amount of substance present in a definite quantity of the solution is called concentration. A solution of known concentration is known as standard solution. And the solution of unknown concentr...
Some types of Titration:
1) Acid-base titration :- The titration process in which the strength of acid is determined by using standard solution of base or vice versa in the presence of indicator is termed as Acid - base titration.
eg. Hcl (aq) + NaoH (aq) -------> Nacl (aq) + H2o
2) Redox titration:- The titration in which oxidising agents and reducing agent are made ot react each other to find their strength is called redox titration.
eg. 2CuSo4 + 4KI ----------------> 2CuI + I2 + 2K2So4
3) Precipitation titration:- The titration process in which the reacting solution form precipitate to determine the concentration of unknown solution, this type of titration is called precipitation titration.
eg. Nacl + AgNo3 ------------------> Agcl (white ppt.) + NaNo3(aq)
4) Complexometric Titration:- The titration in which soluble complex compound is formed by complexing reagent is known as complexometric titration. This titration is used to determine the concentration of metal ions.
