The solid wastes that decays and decompose due to action of microorganism & called bio-degradable wastes.
The wastes that doesn't decay and decompose in the nature due to the actions of microorganism is called non-biodegradable wastes.

Any three ways to get rid of chemical pollution are:
    - We should use chemical fertilizers in proportionate amount after testing soil.
    - Household and industrial wastes should be managed well.
    - We should be careful while using Insecticides and pesticides.
    - Control of RPG and healthy settlement.

Following things should be done to control chemical pollution:
    - RPG and unmanaged urbanization should be controlled.
    - Solid and liquid waste should be managed properly.
    - Industrial and residental area should be separated.
    - Awareness programs about chemical pollution, its effects and solution measures should be conducted.

The pollution created by unwanted and excessive use of chemical substances is called chemical pollution.
Its major causes are:
    - Excessive use of insecticides & fertilizers.
    - Household wastes and plastics.
    - Mismanagement of industrial wastes.
    - Lack of public awareness.

a.    Hard glass and soft glass.

b.    Thermosetting and Thermo plastics.

Detergent are used more than soap because it have stronger cleansing action than that of soap. It can be used even with hard water but soap is insoluble in it and its prepared from hydrocarbon as petroleum by-products. So, it is used more than soap as its cheaper also.

Soaps not suitable for washing clothes with hard water because hard water having large amounts of calcium and magnesium ions give insoluble precipitate.
