Poverty is the state of being financially weak. Here, due to lack of finance Parker couldn't provide necessary things needed for her children. For example: she even couldn't buy diaper for her child,couldn't manage food for them as well as she wasn't able to send her children to school. Ultimately, this shows that poverty is difficult for Parker's children.

Parker went to different institutions and clubs asking for help but she encounteres many difficulties, everytime people used to make fun of her instead of helping.
