The conditions of termination of Nepali citizenship are:
- Any citizen of Nepal who acquires the citizenship of any foreign country shall lose Nepali citizenship.
- If a person who notifies in the prescribed form for renuciation of the citizenship of Nepal to concerned authority, the citizenship of that person shall be terminated.
- If a person is in the status of getting citizenship of Nepal and any other countries, s/he should choose the citizenship of any one country within 2 years after attaining the age of 16 years. Failure to choose the citizenship shall be deemed for that person to have lost his/her Nepalese citizenship.
