Who developed GPS project and when was it developed?

Cartography is the art of drawing maps with the different conventional signs and symbols to represent the facts on the map.

Conventional signs are the different symbols that are used to represent the facts on the earth within the map.

The full form of GIS and GPS are:
        - GIS:     Geographical Information System.
        - GPS:    Geographical Positioning System.

Roger L. Easton, Ivan A. Getting and Bradford Parkinson are credited for invention of GPS.

Roger Tomlinson is considered as the father of GIS.

Geographical Information System (GIS) is the system of capturing, storing, checking and displaying the data related to the positions on earth's surface through computer system that enable us to see, analyze and understand the map more easily.

Google Maps is a desktop web mapping service developed by google that uses electronic version of map which can be accessed through internet by a receiver that receives the real map of earth's surface captured by the satellite.
