The region is famous for wine production. About 65% of total wine produced in world is produced here. Citrus fruits like olive, chestnut, orange, lemon, lime, grape, peach, plum, pear, apricot, etc. are grown widely. About 70% of citrus fruits are produced here and exported. So, it is called the garden of the world.
