The crops like wheat, barley, fruits, vegetables, flowers, etc. are grown here. Due to winter rainfall, this region is favorable for citrus fruit cultivation. The region is famous for wine production. About 65% of total wine produced in world is produced here. Citrus fruits like olive, chestnut, orange, lemon, lime, grape, peach, plum, pear, apricot, etc. are grown widely. About 70% of citrus fruits are produced here and exported. So, it is called the garden of the world.
