The Law of Conservation of Mass

↪ This law states that, "Under similar conditions of temperature and pressure total mass of reactants in any chemical reaction is equal to the total mass of product."

⁕ Experimental Verification of Law of Conservation of Mass

This law can be verified experimentally with the help of Landolt's experiment. Landolt took the solution of sodium chloride and silver nitrate in two limbs of H-Shaped tube known as Landolt's tube. The tube was closed with the stopper and then weighed. After weighing, the solutions are mixed thoroughly by tilting the H-tube. Reaction occurred with the formation of a white precipitate (ppt.) of Silver Chloride.

After reaction the H-tube was again weighed and weight was found to be same.
This experiment proved law of conservation of mass.
