English proficiency test is a requirement to study in the USA. You will communicate in English, your classes will run in English languages. So, you must be proficient in the English language. English proficiency tests are the medium for you to demonstrate your ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English Language.

There are three EPTs that are popular in Nepal. They are:

• TOEFL,

• IELTS,

• Duolingo.

If you have been speaking English in the classroom, you can prepare yourself for these tests by reading online resources, watching YouTube videos, and taking mock-tests. There is a thing that you should remember. Some universities and colleges waive the EPT requirement if English is used as language in your school. For this you have to request your counselor to submit a letter mentioning that your school uses English language in the classroom.
