1.Scrotum
It is a pouch of deeply pigmented skin divided into two separate sacs; each contains one testis.The scrotum acts as a thermoregulator because it maintains temperature of testes. The scrotum remains connected with the abdomen or pelvic cavity by the inguinal canals.
2.Testes
Testes are the primary sex organ in man. There is a pair of testes that are suspended in the scrotum by the spermatic cords. The peritoneum,called mesorchium supports the testes.
IT consists of following parts ;
Protective coverings(tunicae)
The testis is surrounded by 3 layers
1.tunica vaginalis : outer covering of testis
2.tunica albuginea:fibrous covering surrounding the testis situated under the tunica vaginalis
3.tunica vasculosa:consists of a network of capillaries supported by delicate connective tissue which lines the tunica albuginea
