How to Make a Bank Draft in Nepal - Full Process of Demand Draft

When you have the required documents, you can visit the bank that provides Bank Draft services. Nabil Bank, NIBL or Siddhartha Bank are my recommendations.

In the bank, proceed to the respective counter asking at reception and they will hand you with the application form. In the application form, you mention all necessary details like the amount required in USD, and other vital details like ticket number, passport number.

After you submit your application, one of the officers will check your form and hand you a slip where details like Nepalese Rupees equivalent is mentioned, which you have to pay for there.

You need to make an equivalent cash/cheque deposit in the respective bank’s name for the amount you are receiving. After you make a deposit to the bank's name, visit back again to the Bank Draft section and they will carry the process further ahead.

In about an hour or two your bank draft will be ready to collect.

Keep this draft safe with you and take it to the USA with you. Once you reach there, you can withdraw cash from the relevant bank or deposit it to your desired bank account.
