permeability = 1 + susceptibility

for a perfectly diamagnetic substance,

intensity of magnetization (I) = -Magnetizing intensity (H)

negative sign shows that the opposite alignment of electrons against the direction of applied magnetic field.

thus, susceptibility = -1 ( acts as super conductor )
